I'm not a professional athlete

In college, I was out of shape and could barely run 3 miles without feeling like I was going to pass out, but within 11 months I was able to run a half marathon in 1 hour and 30 mins (6' 30" mile pace). Since then, I've continued running and seriously enjoy it. Now, I have dedicated myself to helping HRL readers achieve their fitness goals

I'm not taking your happy hour away

Still wanna go to happy hour with your friends on Fridays? Do you still wanna have a wine night with the gals or a beer with the boys? Maybe you even want to go to a hibachi grill to celebrate a big promotion. That's cool with me, and if you desire to still do that stuff while working on your fitness and health goals, you're at the right place

I'm definitely not here to judge you

If you're tired of these health gurus that judge you for every single diet or fitness mistake. You're really going to like it around here, because (1). I'm not one of those fitness "gurus", and (2). it's not cool to judge others. I've made mistakes. Hey, I used to drink soda after runs after all. So if you'd like to leave it in the past that's cool with me
